Hartland Township voters approve the Safer Roads Plan

On Nov. 4, 2014, Hartland Township voters approved the Safer Roads Plan, a comprehensive strategy for improving major roads within the township.  In the coming months, township staff will begin plan implementation, including more in-depth engineering analysis, bond funding, grant applications and coordination with the Livingston County Road Commission.

This month, the Department of Public Works met with the Road Commission to establish a timeline for road improvements.  The majority of the roads are scheduled to be addressed in 2015, including Clyde Road, Bergin Road, Fenton Road and Read Road.  For a full report on the road improvement schedule, please review our Safer Roads Update.

Residents can follow the progress of the Safer Roads Plan here and on the Township Facebook page.
