Hartland: Friendly by Nature offers advertising grants
The Hartland: Friendly by Nature brand is a collaborative effort between the Hartland Area Chamber of Commerce, Hartland Consolidated Schools, Hartland Township and Cromaine District Library. The logo and tagline are the result of focus groups and surveys that asked our residents and businesses what makes Hartland special. Advertising grants are made available to further promote this brand by providing financial assistance to businesses that utilize the brand in their efforts. On Nov. 4, 2014, Hartland Township voters approved the Safer Roads Plan, a comprehensive strategy for improving major roads within the township. In the coming months, township staff will begin plan implementation, including more in-depth engineering analysis, bond funding, grant applications and coordination with the Livingston County Road Commission.
This month, the Department of Public Works met with the Road Commission to establish a timeline for road improvements. The majority of the roads are scheduled to be addressed in 2015, including Clyde Road, Bergin Road, Fenton Road and Read Road. For a full report on the road improvement schedule, please review our Safer Roads Update.
Residents can follow the progress of the Safer Roads Plan here and on the Township Facebook page.
