The Hartland Township Park Project is mission-complete for 2018 and residents have some new structures in place at Heritage Park and Settlers Park to help everyone enjoy local outdoor living.

Playscapes are installed at both parks; Heritage Park’s play equipment was designed to occupy younger kids who are usually at the athletic field with a sibling. Settlers Park play set is larger and has more options for children to explore.

Park Pavilions are great places to meet up with friends and teammates, host a picnic or relax after walking, running or biking. Heritage Park’s pavilion was designed with a concession area for sporting events. Settlers Park's pavilion is open to the public for reservations on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please note:

*** No reservations are accepted for Friday-Sunday of holiday weekends, or for holiday Mondays (e.g. Labor Day), as we want the entire community to be able to enjoy the public space.

*** Reservation forms (download, below) can be emailed to the Clerk's office at deputyclerk@hartlandtwp.com

Restrooms, drinking fountains (and doggie fountains) are situated near each pavilion. Reminder: dogs must be leashed, and owners are required to clean up after their pup. During Township office hours of 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM, M-TH, dog owners may pick up a FREE Mutt Mitt from the front desk of Township Hall when walking a dog at Settlers.

Pathways at Settlers Park consist of a paved, 1.2-mile loop and a brand new 2-mile mountain bike path beginning behind Meijer. The Motor City Mountain Biking Association installed the bike path, which is open to 2-way, non-motorized traffic. View a MAP of the current course.

Microphones & Music: Settlers Park Pavilion DOES have several electrical outlets, however please note there is just ONE electrical circuit, which can handle up to 15 amps. If you are using more than one outlet, please be sure that the combined electrical use is below 15 amps or the electrical system will shut down.

Hartland parks are open from sunrise to sunset.
