Hartland Township Needs You
Hartland Township is looking for Election Inspectors to work the upcoming 2024 Elections:
- Presidential Primary - February 27, 2024
- State Primary – August 6, 2024
- General – November 5, 2024
In addition to election day Election Inspectors, Hartland Township will also be looking for some individuals to work during the nine day early voting period.
As an election inspector, you are responsible for set up and take down of the polling location, verifying voter registration records, distributing ballots, instructing voters on voting procedures, and more.
Requirements
- Must be a registered voter in the State of Michigan.
- You must be 18 years or older (16–17-year-olds allowed without being a registered voter).
- Must not have a felony or election crime conviction.
- Must not be an election challenger, candidate, member of a candidate’s immediate family, or a member of the local board of canvassers.
- You must fill out and return an Election Inspector Application (see attached file below).
- Must attend paid educational training.
Compensation and Hours
Election Inspectors are paid the following:
- Election Inspectors - $14 per hour
- Chairs - $18 per hour
- Training for all workers - $35 per session
The approximate hours for working Early Voting are from 7:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. and at the polls on Election Day from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. but may vary with each election.
